DESCRIPTION: Stems erect or procumbent, 10–18- angled, up to 15 cm long, 15–25 mm thick, with conical tubercles. Leaves erect, narrowly lanceolate, up to 3 mm long, persistent as stiff white bristles. Flowers on 2 mm long pedicels. Corolla rotate, 7–10 mm wide, with various hues of brown to yellowish brown; tube shallow; lobes broadly ovate-triangular. Corona brown, bowl-shaped, with a wavy or denticulate margin, obscurely pentagonal in outline; inner lobes connivent over and exceeding the staminal column.
